PAL joins the Circus! PAL members were treated to a Big Top Experience, courtesy of Cole Brothers Circus, Inc of Deland Florida! An offer of free seating for PAL members to attend the big top show!

Big Fun at the Big Top!
PAL members flocked the gates at the circus in Middlebury to ride the elephants and camels, acquire face paintings and treated to an array of refreshments including hot dogs,snow cones,cotton candy and soft drinks courtesy of the Police Activity League. Soon after,the tent opened and the PAL members were escorted to ringside seating and filled 2 main sections of bleachers inside the big top closest to the stage entrance. Children of all ages were delighted at the experience as the 3 ring circus filled with one exciting act after another. Over two hours of fun filled entertainment including clowns,a human cannon blast,comedy,thrilling acrobats,daring motorcycling,high wire climbing,and of course,the trained animals including break dancing elephants,jogging camels,and daring pony jumping dogs. Many members were so grateful for the opportunity to attend the circus and noted that the show was full of thrills and excitement. The smiles on the childrens faces spoke volumes about their big top experience as it truly was a memorable night for all. Very special thanks to PALs new friends at Cole Brothers Circus,Inc. of Deland Florida. A telephone call to the Cole Brothers Circus Marketing Headquarters incited an impromptu visit from two members of the Cole Brothers Circus to the Waterbury Police Department. The members were very interested in learning more about PAL and the many exciting events taking place at our recreation center this summer.An offer of free seating for PAL members to attend the show at the big top on Tuesday June 17th was gladly accepted by PAL.
