Waterbury PAL hooked on fishing not on drugs

The Waterbury Police Activity League has begun a fishing program. Officer Doug Mineo and several other Waterbury Police Officers were recently certified by the state to train and certify PAL members to fish. The PAL members attended a six hour classroom instructional course taught by the officers and recieved a certificate of completion. The pal members were each given their own fishing pole. Ofc. Mineo and the other participating police officers then took the pal members fishing at various local lakes and ponds in the Waterbury area. The program to get kids hooked on fishing, not on drugs will continue all summer long.
